Annual Arhatic Yoga Retreat 2017 in Mahwah, NJ

By | Meditation, Pranic Healing, Spiritual Teachers, Spirituality, Yoga | No Comments

Giants…Energy Masters…Friends from around the world…Gifted books on success & money…Raffle tickets to help you evolve …Inner visions of golden dragons…Healers who have healed tens of thousands of people…Meeting a cut out of Orlando Bloom…Earplugs work for sleep and planes…Choosing Dunkin Donuts over Starbucks…Spiritual photo bombing and SO MUCH MORE at the Annual Arhatic Yoga in Mahwah, NJ.

Here are just a few thoughts on my first Back-ta-Back Annual Arhatic Yoga Retreats from West Coast to East Coast.

The purpose of this post is to inspire people to learn Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga so they can experience this AMAZINGNESS and to remind current Arhatic Yogis to attend the next retreat for their own AMAZINGNESS.

Boy oh boy, last night was my first decent night’s sleep in the past 10 days after two yoga retreats in a row…sleeping in hotels and on couches, driving to coffee shops on breaks or being stuck in the Holland Tunnel onto airports, terrifying flights over the snow covered Colorado Rockies and choosing healing over sleeping.

Yet there is no price too high to pay for personal and Soul development, which is permanent.

“But Christian…instead of going to these yoga retreats, wouldn’t you rather spend your time and money on investing in real estate?…buying a car?…finally starting your son’s college fund?…buying a brand new wardrobe? fixing your teeth the right way?…or crossing off that Hawaiian vacation from your bucket list?”

I am a product of my product.

What I have learned and received at Arhatic Yoga Retreats have improved every area of my life without exception and I have those tools for the rest of my life (and the lives to come). What price can you put on inner peace and joy? Wisdom and clarity? Deeply connecting with God? Healing the suffering of others?

It is priceless.

My life has been dedicated to healing and teaching others for 12 years. The more conductive and receptive I am to God and my Teacher through my Arhatic Yoga practice, the greater healing instrument I am for all people.

I desire inner peace now, not later.
I desire enlightenment now, not later.
I desire to be a better person and Soul now, not later.
I desire to be a better healer now, not later.
I desire to master my mind, emotions and body now, not later.
I desire to overcome my negative tendencies now, not later.

By attending an Annual Arhatic Yoga Retreat, I am 100 steps closer to fulfilling those desires than by simply doing it all on my own.

The general populace assumes yoga retreats are nothing more than overpriced vacations where you spend all day chanting mantras you don’t understand, stretching into pretzel poses and being aware of your breath while listening to spiritual discourses by a soft spoken Indian Guru with long dreadlocks, mala beads and who smells like sandalwood incense.

And in some cases…those people would be right.

Not at an Annual Arhatic Yoga Retreat!

You’ll find people from people from the across the US to 10+ countries, ages from 20 to 80+, students to highly trained professionals, homemakers to entrepreneurs of huge companies, high school drop outs (that’s me) to MIT Engineers (going back for even higher education), Arhatic Yogis who just learned this practice a few days before the retreat to Arhatic Yogis who have been practicing diligently for 25+ years, people who just want to learn tools to have less stress to those looking to obtain illumination in THIS lifetime, people who feel, see and hear nothing in their meditations to clairvoyants who leave their bodies at will, travel to undiscovered worlds and converse with Holy Masters and other Great Beings.

You’ll find it all at an Arhatic Yoga Retreat.

This weekend a Pranic Healing Master said something that really resonated with me in reference to the group,
“We are experts in energy.”

That’s THEE biggest factor which determines how much one gets out of a yoga retreat because EVERYTHING in life requires energy, from our physical health and relationships to our finances and career to our personal and spiritual growth and development.

No energy, no progress.

If you want to have a HUGE breakthrough, you need energy.
If you want to have a deep and profound meditation experience, you need energy. If you want to know your life’s purpose, you need spiritual, mental and emotional energies.

And one should attend yoga retreats which offer the strongest and most pervasive divine energies…

Another thought hit me this morning while pouring myself a cup coffee…”You don’t blame the system, you blame the student.”

Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui, the Modern Founder of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga developed two very powerful systems to alleviate the sufferings of humanity and to rapidly, properly and safely evolve the Souls of hundreds of thousands of people in over 120 countries…

As one practices Arhatic Yogi…many many things will get stirred up in his life from relationship challenges, health challenges, financial challenges and even spiritual challenges…its not that system doesn’t work, its the lack of purity of the student.

If I thought, spoke, felt and acted like Bill Gates in regards to business and money, I would be in his position, but if you gave me a software company to start, it would be an utter failure.

Its not the system, its the person using the system that determines whether it will be successful.

You will know the quality of the Teacher by the quality of his students and the results they can produce. Grandmaster Choa’s students have produced miraculous healing results, rapidly deepened their meditation experiences, created extensive service programs around the world to help those in need and become overall better people…so the system works ONLY IF the student works the system.

Your spiritual teacher only points to the path, you must tread that path.

And by attending an Annual Arhatic Yoga Retreat one is reminded of the this spiritual system and the developer of this spiritual system known as Arhatic Yoga.

These simple tools combined with powerful energies…you can flush out negative thoughts and emotions keeping you stuck in life, increase your connection to your Higher Soul and learn how to store those divine energies into every cell of your body to help you look younger, stay healthier longer and be internally stronger…all in only THREE days!

My last day of the second retreat had me falling asleep while watching a video of Grandmaster Choa. I had finally hit the ‘energetic wall’…I couldn’t stuff anymore energy into my etheric body.

Then I was reminded of one of Grandmaster Choa’s teachings,
“Know. Remember. Practice. Master.”

“Ok…what must I do when I am full of energy?”
Oh yeah, do physical exercise. Well…after 20 mins of doing that, I was still falling asleep but this time I was doing jumping jacks.
“Ok what else can I do?”
Oh yeah, release the excess energy by doing extra blessings to family, friends and important projects…and after 15 mins of doing that, and guess what happened?

It worked!
I felt lighter, with calmer emotions and a more alert mind.

You must not only remember the teachings but you must also practice those teachings in order to master them. Again, its not the system, its the practitioner of the system.

An Arhatic Yoga Retreat is a chance to remember the Teacher and Teachings.

The ordinary person finds it bizarre you can actually fall asleep from having TOO much energy but as any Pranic Healer, Arhatic Yogi, Chi Gong practitioner or energy worker will tell you, its not only possible but very probable, especially if you don’t exercise before and after a powerful meditation.

Funny enough, I had ZERO intentions of attending the second annual retreat this year on the east coast but the day before I would have had to buy a plane ticket, I received a private message from someone who I immensely respect and admire, a person who has been there through my darkest and brightest times, asking me if I would be attending this year’s retreat…

So with a big sigh (my lower nature not wanting to go but to chill out at home) and I still wasn’t fully back in my body from the west coast retreat I attended two days earlier,
I gave in to the calling of my Higher Soul and thought,
“Ok, how am I gonna make this happen?”

And ‘WE’ made it happen.

This retreat allowed me to connect with many senior practitioners to help me become a better healer and Arhatic Yogi, re-inspired me to up my service big time, increased my trust in God, the Teacher and the Higher Beings, I made new and hysterical connections, healed old connections, offered tips and suggestions to the upcoming generation of Arhatic Yogis…and I was reminded of weaknesses and negative tendencies I hadn’t fully resolved within myself…you can’t heal what you are unaware of.

The great news is that Grandmaster Choa has given us PLENTY of tools to transform ourselves from the inside out. That’s what I love so much about Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yogi…you have a built in support system of books, CDs, courses, retreats, forums and people of goodwill in 120+ countries to help you get over any and all humps and bumps in your life.

Pretty sweet right?

And I love listening to the Masters share their personal stories of time spent with Grandmaster Choa. All the stories I’ve heard over the years, I never doubted their efficacy…even before I understood how energy works but as I have had many experiences in how energy works in regards to energy healing, meditation, karma, death and the like, I began to doubt those stories because knowing what is required on behalf of the Teacher and disciple in order to produce these results is truly miraculous.

So now I’m just left in awe and humbled by the Teacher and the Teachings instead of doubting.

I have said this in a previous post…there is never enough time to connect with all the people you want to connect with at the retreat.

You want to connect with your old Arhatic Yogi buddies because you have common ground and know they are in it for the long term.
You want to connect with new people to stay abreast of how and why they got into Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga.
You want to resolve conflicts and hurt feelings with co-discisples caused by lack of awareness and misunderstandings.
You want to follow each and every one of the Pranic Healing Masters around like a puppy, never knowing which pearl of wisdom they are going to throw that will change your life forever.
You want to be of service to your co-disciples who may need healing in a moment of intense purging and emotional crisis.
You want to answers to important questions to senior practitioners which the Masters may not have time to answer.
You want to get 8 hours of sleep so you don’t fall asleep in class. And you want to be alone at times to process a video lecture by Grandmaster Choa, a deep meditation experience or a healing you just received.

Never enough time…an Annual Arhatic Yoga Retreat is a great opportunity to practice prioritizing.

And its been a couple years since I’ve been to the east coast during the winter so that alone was an interesting experience.

Having lived and worked in the NYC area for almost 4 years during a very dark time of my life…I wanted to see if the area would be different for me now that I AM different…so I drove around my old stomping grounds in Jersey City at 4:00am before heading to the Laguardia Airport.

After my 8 min trip down memory lane, I realized why I left the area.

Its loud, dirty, wet & cold, congested and filled with lots of traffic.
Yes, there’s lots of prosperity,
yes there’s lots of opportunity in lots of ways
yes the area trains your solar plexus to overcome obstacles,
yes there’s 20,000+ restaurants,
yes there’s people-watching for days,
yes you can rapidly evolve anywhere in the world but alas…
The area is simply not for me.

Denver is my home and has been ever since I first stumbled here during a cross-country dinosaur adventure in June of 2013, moving here 4 months later.

But a big fat thanks and love to NYC for training my solar plexus to get sh!@t done. And a bigger thanks to Masters Glenn Mendoza and Marilag Mendoza for years of training, directing and loving me into the person I AM today.

Never EVER forgot your spiritual teachers, for without them, you would not be where you are today in your development.
I am eternally grateful to them. And now being on the west coast, I am honored to be under the tutelage of Master Stephen Co, who is a perfect example of Will in being diligent in my Arhatic Yoga practice and helping to spread the Teachings of Grandmaster Choa Kok Suoi in the way I most require and I cherish all moments I get to spend with him.

Much thanks and gratitude to Master Hector Ramos whose inner experiences and insights make my head spin and heart sing and to Master Nona Castro who reminds me to be humble, be of service and not to shortcut the path to Self realization.

Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga is not only my spiritual practice, its not only my profession, its not only a hobby…its a way of life.
A way of life that gives me inner peace, happiness, empowerment and the ability to transform myself and others for the better.

And NO, I am not perfect…no one is. Grandmaster Choa has given us Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yogi to move us in the direction of perfection.

Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui has said an Arhatic Yogi, “is a person with an intelligent mind, a loving heart and a powerful will.”
By attending the Annual Arhatic Yoga Retreat you become more of all those divine qualities and so much more.

See you at the next retreat.

Atma Namaste.

Wesak Festival: Celebrating 10 years out of 2500

Whew…what a super powerful day yesterday. After everything was said and done, it was 18-hours of non-stop organizing, facilitating, meditating, teaching and healing during the most powerful day of the year, the Wesak Festival Meditation.

It was my 10th-year participating in the tremendous downpour of spiritual energies from Lord Buddha and other Great Ones, Holy Masters, Holy Gurus, Saints, Archangels, Holy Angels and Spiritual Helpers. I was sitting in a group of 13 other people and we were also connected to millions of other people of goodwill and the will to do good. I asked myself, “How could I have generated enough good karma to not only know about this event but actually help to facilitate it?”

When I first learned Pranic Healing in March of 2004, my mentor informed me of this super amazing, super powerful day coming up that I should participate in. He said, “It’s been observed that meditating during the Wesak Festival is equal to meditating everyday for several months.” Considering I was (and still am) a meditation and energy junkie, I was totally hooked right then and there.

Where I lived, there was no developed Pranic Healing community in Sarasota, FL so it was basically the two of us were Wesak Festival. I was honored to be invited by him because I respected (still do) him immensely for his generosity in mentoring, teaching, blessing and healing me. I admired his bravery in offering to put his clean, powerful and huge chakras next to my small, dirty, congested chakras during the meditation.

I arrived at his place, right on time as always, and we began setting the stage for my very first Wesak. I was so excited. He walked me through the steps and what to expect and we counted down the minutes to the peak of the Full Moon of Taurus to begin the official meditation.

3…2…1…and begin.

The energy of the meditation began to gradually build…and build…and build… then right before the end, these ripples of energy turned into tsunamis of crushing prana upon my subtle energy bodies…smash…crash…smaaaaash. And then I was gone…blackness.

And like a whisper coming from an old railroad tunnel, I hear, “Cooooooome baaaaaack into your bodyyyyy.” In reality I was ‘out of my body’ for a few moments but it seemed like layers of lifetimes. I slowly and reluctantly came back into my body. I had been meditating religiously for 5-years up til that point and it was in the top 3 most powerful inner experiences of this incarnation. When he shared his inner experiences, I was even more fascinated by the mystery and legend behind the Wesak Festival Meditation.

Ever since, I have been committed to participating and now facilitating, the Wesak Festival Meditation and I’d like to share some observations I’ve made over the past 10-years.

1. Could I follow through on a 2500-year commitment?

Lord Buddha has been coming back year after year, decade after decade, century after century, millennium after millennium, to help mother earth and all sentient beings evolve. And I have a challenge keeping some of my coffee date commitments if they’re more than two-weeks out! But to bring commitment down to a more understandable level, I get limitless inspiration from Grandmaster Choa and the Pranic Healing Masters.

Grandmaster Choa spent decades studying, experimenting, validating, teaching and spreading an unknown form of energy healing and yoga to over 160 countries. Yesterday’s Wesak Festival Meditation was awesome but could I sustain that level of commitment and energy day in and day out? We had only 13 people to assist, what about tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands? Amazing.

We were LIVE streaming the meditation with Master Stephen Co in California and I was thinking, “Jeez, when is this man NOT teaching, healing, blessing or traveling? He’s been maintaining this schedule rain, sleet, or shine. I wonder if he’s actually a cyborg with healing powers. Hmm.” As Uncle Ben said to Peter Parker in the movie Spiderman, “With much power, comes much responsibility.” How much more for Lord Buddha?

2. We take priceless teachings for granted.

In ancient times, people who craved spiritual teachings or spiritual blessings would risk life and limb just for the opportunity to whet their Soul’s appetite. Sadhus would do prostrations for a 100+ miles in order to pay respects to their Teachers. Beginning monks would have strict regimens of maintaining the Ashram (Holy Space) of their Guru for YEARS before ever receiving shaktipat (spiritual empowerment). Tibetan Yogis would be in isolation for decades in the hope and promise of seeing or receiving a message from their Sat Guru in the inner world. Present day people living in communist countries are willing to be jailed and persecuted in the hope of quenching their spiritual thirst.

How do we handle priceless spiritual teachings, meditations, healings, and blessings in free countries? Poorly and disrespectfully.

I lead a weekly meditation in Denver and have had people ask me if its going to be cancelled because of light rain or an inch of snow. Yesterday a person couldn’t make the Wesak Festival Meditation because he couldn’t find white clothes. Another person said she would be attending the night before and the next morning couldn’t make it because college class end of semester. Or a friend who thought the meditation took place at night despite receiving several reminders stating it was during the day. One of my favorites are clients who reschedule healing appointments because they’re not feeling good…a HEALING appointment. To paraphrase Master Choa, “People meditate all the time, just not on the right things.” All of these people are beautiful Souls and divine children of God who occasionally let their lower nature, negative tendencies and programs win the battle. It saddens me to see someone suffering from poor finances, relationships or health and when that person is offered free support and he doesn’t take advantage of it. When something is free, it is perceived as having no value.

Recently, I have deepen my appreciation for the blessings, healings, and teachings I’ve been given to alleviate the suffering of my life and the lives of others. I could never repay what my Teacher has done for me, all I can do is spread his work a day at a time. In our modern times the concept of sacrifice is seen as archaic, old-fashioned, out-dated, or from a by-gone era. Instead of sacrificing our egos, personalities, and weaknesses to evolve, we are sacrificing the gift of this physical life and being dominated by our lower tendencies….laziness, greed, selfishness, resentment, anger, dishonesty and more.

3. Yet, certain people have a deep yearning for spirituality.

Sitting amongst my fellow Souls yesterday gave me a greater appreciation for how much people crave spiritual food. People are searching for meaning, purpose or wanting to know where they ‘fit’ into this cosmic puzzle. The more aware people, go the route of meditating, introspection, seeking quality spiritual teachers, practice discernment and the like. The less aware people numb their spiritual yearnings with drugs, excessive sex, excessive drinking, criticizing and judging others, anything and everything that will take their minds off the question, “Who Am I?” But for the brave few willing to dive into that question, experience a life of beauty, richness and wholeness unimaginable by the majority.

4. Gratitude and Humility

Humbling facilitating an ancient tradition. How cool is that?!

Humbling facilitating an ancient tradition. How cool is tha

My girlfriend took a picture of me during a discussion I was having with the Wesak group. As I looked at the picture I laughed thinking, “Look at me trying to play Baby Buddha. Wow, this is too funny.” I’ll be honest, when I was in my mid-20’s learning about spirituality and esoteric teachings, I thought I was so smart, so evolved and so all-knowing. I loved being the ‘Guru’ or the ‘Spiritual Teacher’ because I was the center of attention and had ALL the answers.

Being on this path for the past 15 years I have come to a greater realization that I am simply an instrument for these teachings. I’m not speaking from false humility, simply stating I am an instrument. The technologies and teachings I share with people are not mine but my Teacher and other Great Ones. When I alleviate suffering of another that’s because of Them, when I cause suffering that’s because of my own weaknesses. At first it was hard for my ego to handle that, but over time the little self got more accustomed to submitting to the big Self.

Leaning on the Will of God and all the Great Ones is far more powerful for lasting transformation than being the big shot. One way of defining humility is knowing your strengths and weaknesses. Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga has definitely helped me develop my strengths, made me aware of my weaknesses, and is helping me eradicate them. Its humbling to have an impact on another’s Soul.

5. Spiritual Energy is REAL.

During the peak of the Wesak Festival Meditation there is a tremendous downpour of spiritual energy that will actually move the physical body. You don’t need to be a Rinponche or Holy Master to feel this downpour, simply being aware of the top of your head is enough.

Yesterday, people without any prior meditation experience, were having intense sensations of pressure on the tops of their heads. After all these years of working in subtle energies, I still find that fascinating. How can you feel a physical sensation from a non-physical cause? My pranic healing mentor when asked about the existence of chakras, once said, “To me the chakras are more real than this table you see before you (tapping it with his hand).”

I have used subtle energy to physically alter muscles and bones after other physical means failed to do so. Spiritual energy is REAL and very powerful. Just because scientific instruments are limited to accurately measure subtle energies does not mean they do not exist. One-thousand years ago people were unable to harness and use electricity but that did not mean electricity did not exist. As Grandmaster Choa said, “One’s ignorance does not change reality, it merely alters the perception of reality.”

6. Technology can be used to evolve or devolve us.

Here we were, 14 people sitting in Denver, Colorado, connecting with Master Stephen Co in Anaheim, California where hundreds of people from around the world connected to his broadcast. I thought, “How amazing is this? All these people have the opportunity to connect, be spiritually fed, be healed and heal mother earth. Wow, technology is so awesome!” What are other ways is technology used?

Time-wasting apps, endless hours of mindless Youtube videos, validation-seeking LIKES on Facebook, gossip blogging about celebrities, and on. Just like money, technology will magnify a person’s tendencies. If a person’s tendency is to procrastinate, be lazy, disorganized, hyper-critical, and the like, he will use technology to magnify those tendencies. What could you do with technology if you had a purpose to alleviate suffering, loving heart, spiritual message or powerful healing abilities?

7. Pranic Healing taught me how to be generous.

Not a bad spread eh, some nice high prana snacks.

Not a bad spread eh, some nice high prana snacks.

I was stressing a little bit the day before the Wesak Festival Meditation. I wanted to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone. I wanted people to be spiritual, mentally, emotionally, and physically fed. I even wanted the space to be aesthetically pleasing! Who IS this guy?

An hour before people came over, I was standing in the kitchen chopping up carrots for the veggie medley then I had a flood of memories come over me. Some made me smile while others made me cry tears of gratitude.

I was reminded of all the Pranic Healing classes, meditations and events that I had attended over the years and how I was always provided for…we all were. Like when Grandmaster Choa was teaching in NYC and we went out to eat Vegetarian Dimsum afterwards and he would pay for the entire restaurant. Or how every Pranic Healing class at the Center for Pranic Healing in Lyndhurst, NJ would have coffee, juice, bagels, egg salad, fruit, healthy drinks, even special requests were honored. Or on weekend retreats at the MCKS Pranic Healing Ashram in Bovina, NY where the kitchens were overflowing with food and treats for each and every person and always someone around to help you with a fresh cup of coffee or putting an extra English muffin into the toaster for you.

Someone was always there to offer help, healing, a kind word or smile or food. Never a hidden agenda, unless the hidden agenda was to help your Soul evolve so they could too. But even that seems a bit distorted. Grandmaster Choa was my example of generosity, going the extra mile, giving from the heart and the Pranic Healing Masters, organization and students followed as best they could.

Placing the food out and helping to create a wonderful experience for the Wesak Festival Meditation is not something that comes naturally to me but it was the example of 100’s of people of goodwill and the will to do good, that helped me become that person.

8. As the crown chakra becomes more active, you have no choice but to serve.

I first heard that expression from one of the Master Pranic Healers about 5 years ago and thought, “What the heck does that even mean? So what you’re saying is as I spiritually evolve; I lose my personality, my sense of self and become a Robot of Service? Hmm…not interested. I like my personality. No robot can tell jokes like I can!”

Yesterday, I have a better idea of what he was getting at. As a person develops a higher degree of Soul Realization, she begins to experience a higher degree of Oneness with God and Oneness with All. If I cut my hand, how could I not take care of it? Expanding that example, if my spiritual brother or sister is suffering, how could I not take care of them? He is me, I am him, and we are One. Over the past few months that I literally can’t stop healing, blessing or teaching. My Higher Soul just keeps pushing, “Ok, one more healing.” “Alright, this will be my last email for tonight.” “Oh wait…did I answer that person’s question correctly?” “Hmm. Let me call up that new healing center, that looks like a great opportunity to spread pranic healing.”

Its highly rewarding and highly energizing in the most unusual way. Yes, I feel like I have NO choice but to serve yet what would I do instead?

9. I am no longer a seeker.

I have been aware of the concept of God since I was 7. At that age, God was more like an ATM machine or magic genie, “Alright God, here’s the deal…I’ll remember to call my dad when I stay at Jamie’s house, so he doesn’t worry, but only if I get that new remote control motorcycle from Toys R Us. Man, it looks like it goes super fast! Deal?” And that very-conditional relationship continued up until my late teens when I was introduced to meditation.

Something shifted, something deep and profound with me was different. No, I didn’t see the cosmos in its totality. No, I didn’t hear a booming voice from the sky saying I was the chosen one. No, I wasn’t able to simultaneously be in my philosophy class and make out with a cute girl at the mall, through bi-location. Yet, something was very different.

I spent the next several years reading every spiritual book I could get my hands on, traveling to every spiritual workshop and retreat I could borrow money for and met up with every Guru within a 500 mile radius. I was STARVING for anything spiritual. I had questions and I NEEDED answers dammit. I was the classic spiritual seeker.

But what was I seeking? A deep meditation experience? A feeling of all knowing-ness? The end to all my problems? Credit for single-handedly bringing about world peace? A high-five from God? The ability to levitate? Women to adore my bright and shiny aura? (still working on that one)

Yesterday, I mentioned to the group, I am no longer a seeker…I am a Soul committed to the process of Soul realization and re-emerging with God. I’ve found the process and have surrendered to it; meditating, healing, teaching, blessing, character building, service, tithing, learning. I only seek for more opportunities to practice the process. Instead of spending my days traveling to the next workshop, retreat or seminar looking for the answer…I pick up a mirror. I’m still aware of the next, best, latest, greatest, most powerful…but will not allow their shiney-ness to outshine the inner journey of my Soul.

10. Am I teaching too much, too soon, too often?

One of the attributes of a Great teacher is giving the right dosage in the right way at the right time to the right person. Ugh, man is that proving to be difficult. I tend to share and teach spiritual things as though I was teaching myself, “GIVE IT ALL TO ME RIGHT NOW, I CAN TAKE IT!!” I’m excited about sharing these Teachings and technologies with anyone and everyone who will listen. Yet I sometimes forget that each person is at a different level and not one dosage is right for everyone. One person is just looking for a sip and I’m pushing him under Niagara Falls. While another person is stumbling around in the Spiritual Sahara Desert and I just give him a hinting-nugget and push him out the door. Jeez. How did Grandmaster Choa regulate the dosages of energies to adequately spiritually feed hundreds of thousands of students?

11. Wesak Festival Meditation is wicked fun and always different!

Wesak is connected to the Full Moon of Taurus, which means its not on the same day or same time every year. Sometimes, the peak is at 11:04am on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Other times, the peak is at 4:47am on a pouring Wednesday early morning. I remember attending a real estate conference in Vegas during the Wesak. So after commingling my energies with gritty investors, gambling addicts and tenured Las Vegas escorts (never hired one), I went up into my congested hotel room at 2:30-something in the morning to prepare….and fell asleep 5 minutes into the audio recording. Or the time my oldest brother attended the Wesak in Bovina, NY at the MCKS Pranic Healing Ashram and fell asleep in the middle of the meditation because the energy was too strong for his energy and physical bodies to handle.

My most painful (sort of) Wesak was actually my very first one in 2004.

After the meditation, as always, we spent a lot of time doing physical exercises to re-ground ourselves. At this time in my life, being grounded, practical and realistic was not a strength of mine by any stretch of the imagination. So as I was walking out of my friend’s apartment and crossing the street…I tripped over a parking block that has a huge, rusty screw sticking out of it…the screw ripped my toe open.

I was sooooo blissed out of my mind and had so much energy in my aura, I didn’t even feel the rip and the cut sealed up almost immediately. I later thought, “Hmm, that’s a sucky way to waste this divine energy. Ok, I’ll be more careful next year.”

Now that is one blessed blessing table. May everyone's wishes materialize rapidly and properly with the blessings of God, Lord Buddha, GMCKS, and all the Great Ones. NOW! Thank you.

Now that is one blessed blessing table. May everyone’s wishes materialize rapidly and properly with the blessings of God, Lord Buddha, GMCKS, and all the Great Ones. NOW! Thank you.

This year couldn’t have been smoother. People showed up on time, followed the simple instructions perfectly, asked excellent, insightful questions and there was a lot of group harmony. I’m honored to have shared this experience with each and every one of them. Each person with their own thoughts, emotions, behaviors, karma, story, strengths and weaknesses…yet all coming together for the common purpose to heal themselves, each other and the world.

My girlfriend was amazing in being the loving glue to keep me abreast of how everyone was doing. She’s also a cleaning ninja because as the last person left I turned to go back into the house and it looked as though no one had ever been there. Not even us, and we live there!

Each and every year I’ve done the Wesak Festival Meditation I’ve met new people, had new insights, and made new wishes but the only constant is Lord Buddha’s and all the Great Ones’ commitment to spreading light, love and power to mother earth and all her inhabitants. Thank you God, thank you Lord Buddha, thank you Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui, thank you all.

Here’s to another 10-years and beyond!

With Love.

The most powerful time of the year for any spiritual practitioner.

The most powerful time of the year for any spiritual practitioner.

This coming Wednesday is the most powerful day of the year for all spiritual practitioners of goodwill and the will to do good. The Wesak Festival has been taking place for over 2500 years where the Lord Buddha returns  year after year, in etheric form with many other Great Spiritual Teachers, Angels, Holy Masters, Saints, Arhats, and Others, all for the purpose of accelerating the healing and evolution of the entire planet and all sentient beings. Millions of people partake in this meditation each year.

This will be my 10th – Year participating in the Wesak Festival! There is so much energy brought down during this time that meditating at the peak of the Wesak Festival (in-conjunction with the full moon of Taurus) is equivalent to meditating everyday for several months and will provide you lots of energy to use in your life for the next year. This energy can be used for physical healing, remove emotional and mental blocks, psychic protection, even to bless your goals and finances.

Pranic Healers and other spiritual practitioners will be physically and/or energetically connecting to this massive downpour of spiritual energies. In Denver we will be connecting LIVE streaming with Pranic Healers all over the world and hosting a small gathering at our house.

What: Wesak Festival Meditation (only once per year)

When: Wednesday, May 14th 2014 from 10:45am to 3:00pm MT

Where: Highlands, Denver (email me for address) or Online (outside of Denver)

What to Bring: 1. Wear ALL WHITE clothes. 2. Bring a notepad containing 3 WISHES or GOALS you would like to manifest within the coming year. 3. Bring a picture of a person or persons who need healing and we will bless them afterwards.

What to expect: We will be doing physical and breathing exercises to prepare for the meditation. We will be streaming LIVE with the US Pranic Healing Center in CA which includes additional techniques to further purify, followed by a lecture from Master Stephen Co, then we will do the actual meditation at 1:16pm MT. Afterwards we will bless our projects, goals, wishes, and loved ones. There will be time for snack and bathroom breaks.

Special Note: All the time and energy spent preparing for group meditation is very important. Clean physical and energy bodies insures group harmony and the best possible experience for everyone. That being said, you must be ON TIME and NOT LEAVE in the middle of meditation, which would adversely effect the group. Thank you for honoring these points.

We have room for 20 people so you MUST RSVP by emailing me at christianrlong at gmail dot com SUBJECT: WESAK MEDITATION, so we can plan accordingly.

Unable to physically attend? Here is a link to connect to the group. If that link isn’t working, here is another link. Any questions email me at christianrlong at gmail dot com.

Look forward to connecting and being but a small part in the planet’s evolution.

Blessings of Light, Love, and Power to you all.

Atma Namaste.

14 Lessons I Learned in my 10-Years as a Pranic Healer

10-Years in Pranic Healing

Celebrating 10-Years as a Pranic Healer honoring my Great Teacher, Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui.

Last week on March 28th 2014 was my 10-Year Anniversary graduating from Basic Pranic Healing. By the end of this class, I knew I wanted to dedicate the rest of my life to the study, practice and mastery of this energy medicine system. Pranic Healing is a no-touch, comprehensive system of energy medicine that utilizes prana or energy to accelerate the body’s natural ability to heal itself and much more. In this post I will be sharing some of my insights and experiences gained in the past decade using one of the most powerful and comprehensive healing systems available to the general public.

1. I learned how the inner mechanics of meditation work.

Throughout the Basic Pranic Healing Class I practiced the guided Twin Hearts Meditation meant to activate my heart and crown chakras, cleanse and energize my entire system and fill me with inner peace and mental clarity. Five years prior to that I would meditate using a mantra and then moved up to using sutras. At the time I learned the Twin Hearts Meditation, I thought I knew all there was to meditation. Thinking I was a meditation expert was pure delusion. Doing Twin Hearts Meditation regularly for 10-years, I realize I am but an infant meditation teacher whose not much further than those I teach.

2. I learned to see the world energetically.

At the beginning of my Basic Pranic Healing Class, my instructor said, “After this weekend, you will see the world from an energetic perspective.” I didn’t quite know what she meant but was open to seeing the world from as many different perspective as I could and boy did I get my wish.

Since taking that class 10-years ago, I can ONLY see the world from an energy perspective. I see the world in chakras, colored pranas, energy channels, energetic cords, energy congestion, energy depletion, thought-forms, entities, elementals, invisible helpers, healing angels, karma, and many other unseen and mostly unknown, forces. Its as though someone loaned me 3D Glasses to see the Matrix. These ‘glasses’ have given me a framework to understand the world around, outside and inside of me.

When someone mentions she is having relationship problems, I see it energetically. When someone mentions he is having business troubles, I see it energetically. When someone mentions he is addicted to cigarettes, I see it energetically. Now seeing energetically and acting physically, are two different skill-sets.

3. I learned the importance of energetic hygiene.

Of all the healing systems I have been exposed to or studied, I have not seen one dedicate the amount of time and energy teaching the importance of energy hygiene. Energy hygiene simply means taking systematic steps to keeping yourself, a client, and a space free of diseased, congested energy. Just as doctors and nurses take systematic steps to physically sterilized the OR to prevent contamination, so does the Pranic Healer. The times I’ve ignored or been unaware of these potential contaminants, it has resulted in disastrous outcomes.

My most extreme example was a place I meditated on my lunch break. Every meditation ends with me imagining golden roots of light coming out through the base of my spine going 10 feet into mother earth, like the roots of mighty tree. This helps to ground me after meditation, making me more practical and less spacey. This day, I chose a spot to meditate that appeared to be visually beautiful with lush, green grass, several healthy trees, and a quaint picnic table. What happened after this meditation was unbelievable.

Within 10 minutes after meditation I was feeling nauseous, highly irritable and overwhelmed with feelings of despair and fear. I felt as though I was losing my mind. I had to leave work early. It took several hours to recover from the experience. The next time I went to work I meditated in the same place and the EXACT same experience happened. I was at a complete loss until I asked my pranic healing mentor what might be going on. Through some investigation, it comes to find out I was meditation directly over a sewer line! As I was rooting myself deep into the ground I was actually rooting my energy into dense contamination and dirty prana that was being absorbed directly into my energy body.

Lesson: Take precautions to make sure your space, yourself and your clients’ are physically and energetically clean.

4. I learned energy medicine is not only and art by a science.

My first 5-years studying meditation and spiritual practices I had a hard time connecting the dots and filling in the gaps to my understanding. Like, why are there so many types of meditations? If God is everywhere then why go to church, or an ashram, or even meditate? Why is my life falling apart when I thought a spiritual practice was the solution to any and all problems? What makes someone a ‘natural born’ healer? How does one levitate and does it even matter?

With over 14 classes and over 20 books and CDs, Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga is a huge body of knowledge. Master Choa says, “Pranic Healing is a bridge to understanding higher teachings.” Once I understood the laws and principles that govern the world of energy, I could intelligently and systematically validate or invalidate a particular spiritual practice, healing modality or meditation.

Its kind of like understanding the laws and principles of gravity and aerodynamics. With this knowledge, you can then understand what makes an airplane fly and what doesn’t, and with even more knowledge and experience you can design the fastest, safest jet in the world. At the time same time, you must remain humble because a bumble bee is apparently ‘breaking’ the laws of aerodynamics. In reality, its simply using laws we are currently unaware of.

5. I learned what it means to work towards a BIG vision.

Master Choa’s ultimate vision is to have a Pranic Healer in every home throughout the world. This way when physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual ailments afflict a household the Pranic Healer can heal himself, his family, and his community. The purpose is to alleviate the suffering of mankind.

I thought I knew what motivation and vision was in my younger days of network marketing. I would associate with successful network marketers who would work 14 hour days, travel from city to city, and spread their message of financial independence by enrolling and training people into their business. These people were dedicated. Dedication took on a whole new meaning when I met Master Choa and the Pranic Healing Masters.

Master Choa, was not just traveling city to city but country to country spreading Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga. In less than 25-years, he was able to spread two unknown spiritual systems, Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, to over 150 countries. Teaching, writing, healing, blessing, developing, and experimenting. He was a successful businessman, family man, philanthropist, bestselling author, scientist, spiritual teacher, and Master of Energy. A friend of mine, who is half the age of Master Choa and independently wealthy, attempted to keep up with Master Choa’s global schedule and after two-months gave up because it was simply too difficult to maintain. Master Choa didn’t maintain this schedule for a couple weeks, months, or even years but for decades.

6. I fell in love with the Pranic Healing Community.

Little did I know, but my becoming a Pranic Healer I would be energetically inducted into a global network of loving, powerful and intelligent healers dedicated to helping me and my family.

Many pranic healers, at the end of their meditations, will bless each and every Pranic Healer and Arhatic Yogi and their families with Light, Love, Power, Good Health and Prosperity. When I need healing, someone is there. When I need a place to stay in a new city, someone is there. When I need clarity about my life, someone is there. When I need an explanation about a pranic healing protocol, someone is there. The darkest, saddest and most confusing times of my life, a Pranic Healer has been there.

This pranic healing community is far beyond a shoulder to cry on or a sympathetic ear for my confessions, the healing component is what makes all the difference for me. One of the Pranic Healing Masters has literally saved my life. It was the darkest time of my life when I couldn’t take anymore suffering and letting down those closest to me. I was dragged out of my car, barely conscious and as I lay on the ground I could feel the my life-force leaving me. I could see the ‘tunnel of light’ everyone talks about. The pain and suffering began to subside and I began feel myself getting lighter and moving through that tunnel of light.

Then BAM! I was jarred back into the body from a shaktipat (spiritual empowerment) by my Pranic Healing Master who is also an MD. I was fully back in my body, conscious and surrounded by a dozen people being orchestrated by this Master to get ice, elevate this, do healing here, monitor these vitals, and after the etheric dust settled….I was revived. Thank you.

7. I learned service to others is a way of life.

Throughout my 10-years in Pranic Healing I have seen practitioners tirelessly and persistently serve others. Tirelessly! Whether service was in the form of money, time, teaching, support, healing, blessing…it didn’t matter. Whatever was needed was offered.

These same people demonstrated an ease and mastery of life that was palatable. Simply being in their presence made me feel better, safer and empowered. Always a humbling experience. I would always ask myself, “Why? Why do these people do what they do? They’re professional men and women who don’t do it for the money, or recognition, or guilt or even out of boredom.” Looking back, its clear to me why they do it. They serve others because its the right thing to do. Period.

One of my non-Pranic Healing mentors once said to me, “Christian, one day you’re going to realize life is about service to others, its not about you.” As a cocky, arrogant spiritual practitioner, I didn’t like hearing that. At that time, I thought life was about my meditation, my bank account, my wants, my desires, my happiness, and as long as I’m getting what I want isn’t that really the best thing for others?

As I’ve matured and pulled my head out of my ass, I concluded its both. I have love of others (compassion and service) and love of myself (self-interest) and put them in proper perspective. I have a coaching and pranic healing business. I do it because its the right thing to do (compassion and service) and I do it because it makes me money (self-interest). The more I have loved and served others, in whatever capacity, the more richness, meaning and joyful my life has become.

8. I learned the inner workings of prayer.

Pranic Healing taught me how to pray or invoke (asking from an authority) to God and the Higher Beings. Prior to Pranic Healing, I never understood the point of praying to God. After practicing, studying and experimenting with invocation over the past 10 years, I can attest to its power.

After an invocation, simply ‘being still’ I experience true magic. Here’s the challenge with explaining this phenomenon to others, its a subjective experience with many layers, nuances, and purposes. You can invoke for anything; willpower, clarity of purpose, abundance, higher creativity, higher clairvoyance, greater healing ability, humility, physical healing and anything else you can imagine. The degree to which you can summon those qualities into your life is based on many factors but consistent and persistent practice are essential to validate its power for you.

Just as one intense workout at the gym will not develop the body of Olympian, likewise, one invocation will not summon the full manifestation of the qualities of God into your life. My suggestion is to invoke for a specific quality you desire daily for 90 days and notice what happens.

9. I learned that Pranic Healing is extremely powerful.

I was a ‘believer’ of Pranic Healing after my very first session. The girl who introduced me to Pranic Healing, spent 45 minutes using a protocol on me. Never touching and never talking. After the session, I felt as though I had been awakened from a dream and my life was never the same.

Is that everyone’s experience? Absolutely not. But over the past 10-years, my clients, fellow Pranic Healers and I have had dozens of profound stories of its power. Two of my favorite personal stories was during the first time I took Advanced Pranic Healing, which uses colored pranas for its protocols.

My girlfriend was my healing partner for the weekend. She began ‘scanning’ (feeling) the subtle energy around my physical heart and all off a sudden my chest started to tighten, I had shortness of breath and was having intense, painful heart palpitations. I felt as though I was going to faint. She immediately called over the instructor and quickly explained the situation. The instructor immediately started to remove the excess energy around my heart and within a few minutes the tightness and pain subsided and after 10 minutes went away completely. Our instructor later explained why this happened and how to prevent it next time.

The second story happened the very same day, and this time to my girlfriend! I guess karma’s a bitch. Most of her life, she experienced constipation issues. So to help her out and practice my new found healing abilities using colored pranas, I did the constipation protocol. After a few minutes nothing happened, so I thought more energy would be better, right? An hour later, the protocol took efffect and she wasn’t fast enough making it to the bathroom. She spent the rest of the night on the toilet. So much for following the simple protocol.

10. I learned Pranic Healing doesn’t have all the answers.

Master Choa says, “Truth is dynamic, not static.” Pranic Healing is humble enough to realize it doesn’t have all the answers and is open to questioning its own methodologies and protocols. Over the past 10-years I have seen Pranic Healing evolve its organizational procedures, distribution methods of its teachings and protocol modifications, all with the purpose to alleviate suffering faster.

Pranic Healing is a living, breathing, dynamic system of energy medicine. Dogma, superstition and office politics do not have a place in Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga. The current Pranic Healing Masters, Pranic Healing Organizations and Foundations, and the world of Pranic Healers and Arhatic Yogis are not perfect, they all make mistakes and are doing their best to represent Master Choa’s Teachings in the most accurate and purest way possible.

If there is a better way to do something, Pranic Healing is open to it.

11. I learned what it means to be a Disciple.

I once thought discipleship was for people without a backbone, brain-washed and had no willpower of their own. In my early years of going to Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga classes where Master Choa taught, I would see the reverence towards him from the senior teachers and students.

I would ask, “Am I the only one is this room not drinking the cool-aid? Why are these people touching his feet? Do you really need that many flowers on a stage?” Devotion and respect for a spiritual teacher was not unfamiliar to me, pulling from my previous meditation background, but I didn’t understand the underlying energy reasons for the devotion and reverence. I just wanted to meditate and feel good…why all this devotion stuff?

Now, I’m shaking my head in regards to my past ignorance. Master Choa always made me feel special. Out of his hundreds of thousands of students, he always remembered my name and asked me how I was doing. He made me feel important, special and as though I mattered. Master Choa loved everyone, made everyone feel special, made everyone feel like they mattered, because everyone does. I wanted to serve Master Choa because I loved him and loved the gift he was giving the world. Being a true disciple is some of the most spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically taxing work a Soul can do.

To learn about true discipleship, study the greatest disciple of all time, Lord Hanuman, the senior disciple of Lord Rama. Why did Lord Hanuman take the form of a monkey God? How was he able to move a mountain for his great Teacher? Why did he say to his Teacher, “Spiritually you and I are One?”

The great spiritual texts are not to be taken literally but to studied with a discerning mind to understand the esoteric (that which is hidden) teachings. Master Choa opened my eyes to true discipleship, its rewards and possible pitfalls. The rewards are priceless but not easy. Nothing in life of value is easy to acquire, how much more for priceless blessings, teachings, and healings?

Right before Master Choa’s left his physical body, his final message to his disciples was, “Practice diligently. Purify oneself. Spread the Teachings.”

12. I learned the importance of living a virtuous life.

At the end of the Basic Pranic Healing Class (and others) one is taught about the virtues from an energetic perspective. Mastery of the virtues insures a rapid and safe development towards Soul realization. Character building is the foundation that my life and spiritual practice must rest upon. The only guarantee I can ever remember Master Choa making was, “If you practice inner reflection and firm resolution of the virtues everyday for 2 to 3 years, your progress will be guaranteed.”

The virtues we practice in Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga are Loving-Kindess & Non-Injury, Generosity & Non-Stealing, Constancy of Aim and Effort & Non-Laziness, Accurate Perception & Correct Expression, and Moderation & Non-Excessiveness. Master Choa began mastering the virtues at a very young age and he attributes his rapid Soul evolution to their mastery. Volumes have been written about these virtues and they are a lifetime practice but so fulfilling to know, remember, practice and eventually, master them.

13. I learned the value of discernment.

At the beginning of every Pranic Healing class whether basic or advance is a slide that says, “Do not accept these teachings blindly. Use intelligent evaluation, experiment, and draw your own conclusion.” I have always loved this about Pranic Healing.

Just because Lord Jesus, Lord Mohammad, Lord Buddha, Lord Krishna or a Holy Master said it, does not make it true for you. One must validate teachings for themselves. Until you prove something for yourself, you may take it as ‘temporary truth.’

For instance, if you meet a person who is a good clairvoyant and she begins describing the heart chakra, colors it has, and its size. If you can’t see energy you might call them crazy and that what they are seeing is in their imagination. Whose to say she hasn’t simply developed the skill to see subtle energies that you are unaware of? So take what they say as ‘temporary truth’ until you can validate it for yourself.

I’ve never had anyone in Pranic Healing say to me, “Just take my word for it.” or “That’s just the way it is.” or “You have to believe this because Master Choa says so.” I was given the Teachings, I experimented with the Teachings, and drew my own conclusions. My conclusions weren’t too far off from the aforementioned result.

14. I realized Pranic Healing has been there during my Darkest and Brightest.

Pranic Healing has been a thread throughout the biggest landmarks of my life; traveling throughout British Columbia, moving to FL, marriage, birth of my son, first home, first foreclosure, first clairvoyant sight, divorce, moving to NJ, profound inner peace, hospitalizations, loving relationships, suicide attempt, sexual mastery, first real estate partnership, traveling the country, dissolving of first real estate partnership, depression, moving to Denver, coaching and pranic healing business.

Pranic Healing has been there all along; quietly leading, directing, healing and blessing me. My sufferings were from inaccurate perceptions, impurities and unrealistic expectations I had. I chose not to follow the simple instructions I was given by the Master Choa and the Masters. We all make mistakes right? We all have lessons to learn right? We all get prideful right? If I exercise improperly and hurt myself, it doesn’t make exercise wrong, it makes my implementation of that exercise wrong. If I eat salmon 2-weeks past its expiration date and get food poisoning, its the not the fault of the salmon or the packaging company, its mine for not following the label.

I am forever grateful to Master Choa, the Pranic Healing Masters and my Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga family.

In conclusion, Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga is a practice I will continue for the rest of my life because…well…it just works. A friend of mine, who has been a practitioner several years longer than me once said from his kitchen table, “Hey Pranic Healing is amazing but if another system comes along that is more complete, more comprehensive, more powerful, I’ll jump ship and study that system. So far, I haven’t had to jump ship.”

What will the next 10-years look like for Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga and my relationship with them? What advances will be made in energy medicine? What will be the current state of the earth, her energy body and our collective karma look like? I wish I had a crystal ball to consult but sadly I don’t. I’ll just chug along healing those in need, practicing diligently, spreading the Teachings to those who are spiritually thirty, and purifying myself.

My ultimate spiritual goal (is there such a thing?) is to become a Master Pranic Healer in this lifetime, which to my understanding takes approx. 20 years of diligent blessing, healing and teaching around the world. Well, I’ve put in 10-years so far, guess I have another 19 years to go! Thank you Master Choa. Thank you All.

With Love.
